God, if you’re going to have my whole family get sick, this is the order I’d prefer. Me first, then after appropriate recovery time, other members of the family.

Because I hate it when the kids tell me their throat or head hurts and I give them an off the cuff “take some iburprofen” because of course they are just trying to get out of what they are supposed to be doing, only to come down with the same thing myself and want everyone to stop everything to take care of me.

They usually don’t respond so well to me. If they do respond, it’s usually under their breath and something to do with ibuprofen.

So, if it’s not too much trouble, and only if I’m going to get sick anyway, let me get it first so I can give them the appropriate amount of pampering.
