starting ‘em early
whimsybaby is at the age where she wants to be doing what everybody else is doing. This makes for some kiss her whole face worthy cuteness.
Example 1 - I was (re)knitting some socks on New Years Day. She really really wanted to help. Working a lace pattern with size 2 needles is really best done alone. One of the whimsy twins grabbed some bulky circular needles and cast on a few stitches with chunky wool. Whimsybaby was happy for a good 20 minutes. She “knit” a few stitches and then hold it up to admire.
I think she would have lasted longer but she grew tired of me squeezing and kissing her. Sorry about the fuzziness. Also sorry about the apparent size of my body. Yeesh!
Example 2 - We were doing “school” time this morning and again, the urge to be involved was overwhelming. She was none to happy at me forcibly stopping her from sticking sharp pencils in her ears. Big brother is the one who came to the rescue this time.
He made a dot-to-dot for her to trace. Can you see the intense concentration? It was an internal struggle to refrain from squeezing them long enough to get the picture. I’m sure you understand.
