fixing to dry clothes inside

My sweetie of a DH hooked me up a second washer that I bought at a yard sale. It was early spring when I bought it (prime clothesline weather) and early winter when it finally got hooked up. As it was, I was already washing clothes faster than I could dry them. So, I haven’t been using the washer to it’s full potential. It’s great for times when I let the diapers go a little too long and they need several washes and soaks to get really clean.

I’m getting farther and farther behind in my laundry. I’m spending too much time at the shop, and not enough time here. I’m not going to let it win though!

My original plan was to get a few loads washed up and take them up the laundry mat to dry. Until I figured up how much it was going to cost. And we got a big ice/snow storm. Carrying baskets of wet clothes outside in 20 degree weather over slippery ground just doesn’t sound like a great idea.

I’ve spent the last hour (or more) researching ways to dry clothes inside. (cuz you know, there may be some late breaking technological advances. It surely wouldn’t have been a ploy to avoid actually doing work) I have an enclosed front porch. I think it even has hooks already in the walls for clotheslines to be strung (one of the advantages of living in a 90 yo home) I also have several places that I could set a wooden clothes dryer inside. My family all suffers from dry skin, so a little extra moisture would be welcome.

I’ll keep you updated. (Yeah, I know you’re on the edge of your seats) Excited 2
