planning costumes

Ok, we are a Halloween family. No scary costumes, but I can’t pass up the fun. The entire trick or treating lasts about 20 minutes. Seeing the bliss on the faces of my little ones (and nieces and nephews) is worth the cold weather and the hours of preparation (usually at the last minute) that I put into their costumes.
The big girls are on their own this year. At 13, if they want to dress up they can handle it themselves. The boy wants to be Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs. I think that will be easy enough. Grunge on a 5 year old boy is like white on rice.
We are going for a cookie costume for the little bug. She LOVES cookies and I think she’ll get a big kick out of dressing like one.
