teaching long division

Long division is something that my girls have always had a hard time mastering. After much frustration I think I finally found something that helps.
I have them do their problems on graph paper. This keeps everything lined up just like they are supposed to be. This has solved a lot of the problem. (and it makes their papers much easier to grade)
Man, I should have saved this for a works for me wednesday tip!
