one proud mama!
Today is my little boy’s birthday. He is 5 years old today. 5 is a hard birthday for me. It’s not “little” anymore. This is the first one that won’t be going off to Kindergarten and I am so happy about that!
But anyway, I digress from my cute kiddo story.
Big sisters Caitlin & Lauren (who will both be 13 next week!) made him a cake to bring into the shop today. They also made him a special “mini” cake for breakfast. I meant to get a picture of the cakes, but with hungry men around, I was WAY too slow!
Then Lauren called into the radio station that we have on at the shop and told them it was her little brother’s birthday. They wished him Happy Birthday on air. But, just as they started to say it, one of the guys turned on a saw and drowned the whole out.
Brody was so disappointed! His big sister couldn’t stand it. She called back in and told them the story. The DJs were impressed that a big sister would care that much about her brother. So after the next song, they made sure to say a whole little piece about it. The grin on Brody’s face was absolutely priceless.
Brody is 3 ft. off the ground. I have to admit that I am too.
That is just too sweet. You have some nice girls there. Haopp birthday to your littel guy. Mine has already turned 5, but I guess becuase I’m not done yet - It hasn’t hit me so hard. Enjoy every minute.
